Adán Vallecillo: Señales de humo
The Casa de la Cultura de Danlí presents "Señales de Humo," the first solo exhibition by Honduran artist Adán Vallecillo in his hometown, Danlí. This exhibition addresses the cycles of production, circulation, and consumption of tobacco, taking as its starting point the strong tobacco tradition of the Valle de Jamastrán.
Through sculptures, videos, and installations, Vallecillo explores the relationship between art, history, and sociology to reflect on the cultural and economic impact of tobacco in the region. The exhibition also includes references to his childhood and the collective memory of the workers in the sector, paying tribute to those who have supported this industry over time.
As part of the exhibition, guided tours will take place on Thursday the 27th at 10:00 AM and Friday the 28th at 5:00 PM, coinciding with the Festival del Puro y el Café. A unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the history, culture, and identity of Danlí through art.
